Bike parade starts from Kutchan community hall (altitude 179m) and ride through the Kutchan potate festival venue. It is a short group ride on the nice flat road. Then the race begins from the starting line in front of Kutchan agricultural high school on route 58. The nice wide slope continues to the Weiss gate, about 2 km before the goal line. The slope becomes steeper after the gate, but this section will be the key to improve your time.

The goal line is at the border between Kutchan and Niseko town (altitude 796m). The total distance is 15.5km. The average grade is about 4.6%. The cutoff is at the Weiss gate, one hour after the race begins.
